Walter Straus has always been generous with his time and his facilities.  Most of the Dallas Dressage Club's early shows were held on his grounds.  Although he was more involved with eventing than dressage, he urged many of his  students and boarders to join the DDC and participate in its shows.

Col. Don Nance, along with his partner, Donna Giddings, was a founding member of the  Dallas Dressage Club. He was a patient teacher and gracious host. Through Col. Nance, the  DDC was able to have club meetings, banquets, and shows at the Willow Bend facility.

"Major and Mrs. Valko are founding members of the DDC and are one of the main reasons why the  sport remains alive and vital in the metroplex to this day.
